John is responsible for guiding Westchester's investment policy and is directly involved in communicating with our clients. John is chairman of the Investment and Portfolio Management Committees, and is primarily responsible for selecting equity and fixed income investments and management of client portfolios. Before founding Westchester Capital Management, John was a First Vice President and Portfolio Manager with a regional investment banking firm. He received his B.A. in Architecture from Iowa State University. John is a member of the Omaha-Lincoln Society of Financial Analysts and has completed the programs provided by Securities Industry Institute and the Wharton School of Business. John has served on numerous community foundations and boards. In 1989 he was elected to Iowa State University Foundation Board of Governors. Since 1989 John has served several terms on both the Finance and Development Committees. Recently he was elected to a second term on the foundations Investment committee. In addition, John is past President of the Iowa State University's College of Design Council. |
